Iron Chef. “Chopped” judge. New York restauranteur. Homer Laughlin fan.

Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli wears a lot of hats. She opened her Manhattan eatery, Butter (@butternyc), in 2002 and turned it into a jewel in the city’s world-class dining scene. Menus offer cutting-edge takes on American favorites, often with a twist that honors Guarnaschelli’s Italian heritage.

The restaurant’s social media frequently showcases photographs of its cuisine, lovingly and artfully plated on Homer Laughlin dinnerware. Scroll through and see if you can spot Foundry by Hall China, Carolyn Styleline Black, Narrow Rim, and Jet Spray Maroon, just to name a few. She likes to mix and match various lines to create an eclectic tabletop. It also shows off just how much Homer Laughlin she has in her collection!

Between high, arching ceilings, a large-format naturescape, and cozy booths, Butter has become an ideal spot for romantic nights out and casual diners alike. Guarnaschelli’s role as executive chef and her whirlwind TV schedule obviously keep her busy – but she still has time to show her favorite dinnerware a little social media love!
